Hi there,
Thought I would post a little update. Mickey is up to 3.7kg at 20 weeks so he has put on almost exactly 1kg in the past 4 weeks. He has been on Whiskas pouches the past couple weeks and I don't think it is very good food. His growth rate has definitely dipped a bit since going to that so we will suck up the extra $10 or so a week to feed the better foods. I could be wrong and it is just a normal ebb and flow in growth rate but his poo definitely got stinkier and more volume on the whiskas tooA few days back on nicer food and the poo seems to be more normal which is nice!
Hard to believe at 5 months he is almost as big, in length, as our old shorthair! The build is obviously much slighter at this stage but it really is quite a marvel. Parental bias no doubt but he is looking very handsome

Mickley is adorable and very handsome :-) I am not surprised he didn't do well on the whiskas as it is effectively the same as junk food with lots of things bulking it up that cats can't digest. I have gone with raw feeding and hi meat content food and no grains and my boys have never had runny or stinky poos and at last weigh in at 5 months they were 3.7kg but at 6 months now I think they are well over 4kg. They do have the sleek body shape but they are essentially the same size as a fully grown cat lol its amazing! One of mine also pretty much has a fully developed bushy tail and it's so gorgeous I can't stop stroking it lol. Keep us updated on how Mickey is doing on the food front.

Long time no visit.
Mickey is 9 months in 3 days time.
I will try to grab a photo and throw him on the scales. I'm hoping he will just break through the 6kg/13lb mark
He is loading up on the food again lately after slowing down for a while so he may be planning on spurting again.
