Thread: Wet food dragged onto floor...gross

I've tried flat plates, flared bowls, straight-sided bowls, and using a plastic tray, to no avail; my cat insists on dragging his food directly onto the kitchen floor and eating it there. He also chews his dry food over the floor, but that's easy to sweep up so I can deal with that. Any suggestions? Any ideas why on earth he needs to eat from the floor? It can't possibly make it taste better.
