Just in case you are not aware of this...onions are quite toxic to cats, and chives are in the onion family and so contain lower levels of the same toxic compound (garlic has a related one). I know from experience that a brief munch isn't going to do anything to a cat, but you probably should not let Hank gnaw repeatedly on your chives.

We can never have flowers on display now because they want to demolish them every time even when we think they are totally out of reach!!! Also you have to be careful as some of the flower pollens are poisonous to cats

I was worried about that as the flower was missing and we couldn't find it anywhere... we later found it in the lounge room!
